Tomato Basil Bruschetta with Lemon Pesto Sauce

I`m a huge fan of bruschetta and my favorite bruschetta at a restaurant so far is from Bj`s Brewhouse because of the delicious sauce, I believe it`s a parmesan pesto sauce! I decided to do some research on the internet and found a real easy recipe for the lemon pesto sauce to serve over the tomato basil bruschetta.

What you`ll need:
- 4 cups of loosely packed fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup toasted walnuts or pine nuts
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil


Add basil, garlic, nuts, lemon juice, salt in a food processor or blender. Pulse until mixture is a paste while slowly adding olive oil.

Place sauce in medium size bowl and stir the parmesan cheese (I didn`t do this step). Add salt if needed.

Overall: Sauce tasted delicious, didn`t have parmesan cheese instead had cheddar but I didn`t stir that in.
