there might only be the slightest mistake but it is definitely a quite embarrassing one...
Unlike most nations that wear the logo of their national federation on the chest, Spain decided to wear the coat of arms of the Spanish Bourbons. But it is not. Instead of the emblem of the Spanish royal family they actually wear the slightly different version of the French Bourbons on their jerseys. Supposedly, a herald of the Spanish federation has already pointed this mistake out two years ago. Outfitter Adidas tried to shift all the blame from them and insists that they had used the emblem, which was provided by the association. Changing this would take about three months, they said...
The devil is indeed in the details, because the escutcheon of the Spanish Bourbons and the French House of Bourbon dynasty can only be distinguished by a red frame around the central element in the coat of arms. Since the three lilies on the blue background are missing this red border, it makes the Spanish emblem to the French.
Embarrassing for a world champion.
what do you guys think about this mistake?
