Some watches can be considered a true work of art because of the way they are designed but these are actually art inside a watch!
They are what the artist called watch sculptures and are the work of Dominic Wilcox that used watches as inspiration to set his sculptures in, but putting them inside a modified watch base. For the sculptures he used the idea of capturing everyday moments ( well, the flying pig is not an everyday moment but its very funny lol) and attached it to the watch pointers.
However, dont expect to see the watches giving the time but they are not really meant for that. They were actually on display at Phillips de Pury but it was only until the end of January, but the artist will probably put them in display in more places in the future.
I really like the watches ( if we can actually call them watches) because besides being an original idea, the end result is great and the sculptures are very well made. This also reminds me a bit of those boats inside bottles, its almost the same concept.
