So I decided to head to my local thrift store yesterday to see if I could find any shirts for myself. Ive lost a bit more weight and Im in between sizes. The stuff I used to wear is too big, the stuff Ive bought to fit into FITS but is a little snug (most would be comfortable with it, but Im not 100% comfortable yet). So I wanted to get some shirts. I was at the mall earlier and almost bought a shirt at H&M for $12.95 it was the cutest thing, but I put it back because I talked myself out of it (hooray for me practicing some sort of control!). Fast forward to like a half hour later, after browsing around the thrift store for a while, I ended up paying $14.36 for the four shirts and dress I picked up at the thrift store! My boyfriend came with me and found a suit w/ matching pants AND tie for a whopping $12.50! Now my boyfriend hates shopping so he went and looked in the mens section and came back over to me saying they had nothing, so I told him Why dont you go back over and look? LOL! He did and walked back with this gem. I did not know this before going in, but apparently Wednesdays are 50% off ALL items, except yellow tags on clothing and red/pink/yellow tags on books/dvds/décor, etc.
Heres what I (and my boyfriend) picked up & the prices we paid:
Green sports coat $7.50
Green slacks $3.50
Green patterned tie $1.50
New York & Company Summer Dress - $7.99 (I paid full price for this since it wasnt on sale)
Morona yellow boyfriend t-shirt $1.50
Green Hanes t-shirt (I wanted this for the gym) 63 CENTS
Life is good Love t-shirt - $2.99 (I paid full price for this)
Old Navy Love You t-shirt $1.25
I do know that Wednesday I am hitting up the thrift store again especially with their 50% off deal!
Do you like thrifting? Have you found any goodies?
