Last weekend my boyfriend and I went on a day trip up into Maine. Our only plan was to get to the beach at some point. My other agenda was to get some shopping in because there are 2 thrift stores that I really like because one is super clean and I tend to strike gold in it, while the other is rather hit-or-miss. Needless to say I got myself a few items and my boyfriend totally made out like a bandit! Now let me say this my boyfriend HATES shopping. Hates it. If he has to go to the store to get anything hes the type that goes in, finds what hes looking for and leaves. So needless to say hes in misery when shopping with me because Im all over the place and it can sometime take hours (hahaha Im horrible!). While I was carousing the racks, he came over after looking at some of the odds and ends in one of the rooms and I suggested he take a look thru the few racks of mens items. He did and found two full suits in his size The two suits (jacket and pants) in total cost him $20! He then found a long sleeve shirt and a Hawaiian/bowler shirt at the other thrift store we went into, paying $7 for the two. I tried talking him out of the Hawaiian/bowler shirt but needless to say it didnt work hes wanted one for a while and Ive straight up refused to buy him one when out and about. And since he doesnt fancy shopping hes never had it on his agenda as a must buy --- until this day. I on the other hand was able to get 2 pairs of pants, one casual the other dress and a pair of plaid Bermuda shorts.
Heres what we picked up:
- Ann Taylor beige dress slacks $3
- Talbots Coral casual pants - BRAND NEW $68.00 tag on them I paid $3!!
- Plaid Bermuda shorts
- Banana Republic long sleeve dress shirt
- Hawaiian Bowler shirt
- Austin Reed The suits by Austin Reed range from $135-475
- Redwood & Ross suit
Have you picked up any great deals at the thrift store as of late?
