"The Walking Dead" tells the story of the world after an apocalypse of the undead and follows the adventures of a group of survivors traveling across the United States in search of a new home away from the hordes of zombies. The group is led by Rick Grimes, a former police officer. As the situation becomes more desperate, the group is forced to do anything to stay alive.
This is not Not the kind of "zombie hunting" movie but rather a drama about survival, about family, about decisions that can change your life. I know it may seem too philosophical, but it is exactly what I felt when seing the first episode of the series.
"The Walking Dead" is currently one of my favourite TV shows and I watch it regularly. I dont miss a single episode, as I am fascinated, dont know why, by the realistic world created by this show producers, scenarist and by those who are handling the special effects. The story line is fantastically well created, with moments of suspense combined with the drama of with the main characters.
Each episode seems like is trying to test your endurance, inserting the viewers into a thrilling new situation. It is very well directed and very well thought out. Reactions and behavior of the characters are quite human and natural even though the whole action of the film takes place in a world dominated by hungry zombies.
Personally, I think this is the best TV show that is currently on air.
