Back in May, my mom was hospitalized for her Kidney as the result of her cervical cancer. We have encountered lots of complications ever since last summer when we first discovered her cancer and experienced an almost near death experience (Luckily she`s cancer free! So proud of my mom and her strength to battle against this cancer). While at the hospital, I noticed this particular Thermos. This Thermos has survived in our family for long years, never failing to serve its purpose. While pouring my mother a hot drink out of the Thermos, it suddenly hit me. This Thermos has been here for as long as I remember. Every time when someone of the family is in the hospital (we have numerous family members who had stayed weeks in the hospital) this Thermos is always there to provide hot water throughout the day. Everyday, someone in the family would come to the hospital in the morning, carrying this Thermos filled with hot water. As my father and I walked back home from the hospital after visiting hours have ended, I asked my father: `What year was it when you bought this? 1990?`
`Over that.` A silent paused and I asked again: `1998?`.
`I think it`s 1995` replied my father.
1995? 1995? It is now 2015. This Thermos has been with our family for 20 years and each time when we used it for someone who is in the hospital, it has always provide us hot water. Thank You Thermos for always being there for us and never failing.
