The Serengeti refers to the stretch of land that spans between northern Tanzania and south-western Kenya, in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on Earth, and encompasses Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Maswa Game Reserve, the Loliondo, Grumeti and Ikorongo Controlled Areas, and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This region is best known for its migration, when over a million wildebeest, and tens of thousands of zebras flow from north to south every October and November.
