According to the Los Angeles Times, 16 high-end vehicles have been recovered in shipping containers, ready for export, at the Port of Los Angeles. According to authorities, the shipping manifests show the vehicles were destined for Hong Kong and Vietnam.
One of the recovered vehicles was a 2010 Ferrari 458, which was originally stolen from a high-end rental car company. Wisely, the rental company had fitted the 458 with a GPS tracking device that ultimately led Customs agents directly to a shipping container labeled used fitness equipment. Customs agents checked other containers with similar manifests and discovered an additional 15 vehicles.
