So today I had to go out to get some photos taken to renew my passport, which expires in a few months. I thought I would share the products I used. It is a lot more than I would ever wear, but I justified this because my skin has been in terrible condition, the worst in a long time! I don`t know if it was hormonal or if because I have oily skin. I haven`t been using any new products and my have been sticking to my skincare routine so I`m not entirely sure. Moving swiftly on...
First I started off with a clean, moisturized face. I then Applied MAC Face and Body Foundation all over my face and also used some to blend down to my neck, using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. For My oily skin I still have yet to find a great primer. After foundation I primed both my under-eye area and also my eyelids. I used a tiny amount of Lancome`s La Base Pro, I don`t use this for the rest of my face because it breaks me out. For my eyelids I use my dearest NARS Smudge-proof Eye Shadow base, the only eye primer that lasts on my eyelids. Then I allowed the primers to settle in, while I filled in the sparse areas of my eyebrows using the light brown matte shade in my Avon True Colour Quad, in Mocha Latte. Next I used a flat shading brush to apply the Satin, Taupe shade, again from the Avon True Colour Quad, all over my eye lids. In the inner half of my eyelids I swiped a small amount of MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow, to brighten the area up. Lastly for eye shadow I took the Dark brown, Matte Eye Shadow from the Avon quad and lightly dusted around the crease area, also took this on the lash line. Took the No7 Eyelash Curlers, to curl my straight lashes and after added a good few coats of my lovely Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara. To highlight and neaten up beneath my eyebrows, I took a small amount of Revlon`s Photoready Foundation, which is too light for me to use on my face, but it works perfectly for this purpose. I concealer (which was majorly needed) and corrected using Benefit Boi-ing Concealer and my Beloved Bobbi Brown Corrector!
We`re almost finished! I took a fluffy eye shadow brush and lightly dusted a bit of Laura Mercier`s Mineral Powder under my eyes, around my nose and wherever else I applied concealer. Last but not least, I contoured, highlighted and applied blush to add some dimension to my face, using Benefit`s Bella Bamba and Hoola Bronzer, and Elizabeth Arden`s Highlighter in Rose Illumination.
So much make up for one make up look, but it was necessary!
What make up look do you go for in extreme circumstances?
