This was a soap my mom used and the next time she went to get it, she bought about a pound of it and gave me a big chunk to use. She was really into it but it took me a while to wrap my head over using pistachio product for body (I would rather eat them :D) I even joke with my mom that when she finishes with soap she can take the pistachios and put it in a pudding. Anyways, here is my review but before that I will copy the description from the lush website itself.
GET A GRIP ON THESE NUTS!
Inspired by Italian nougat, Noubar looks good enough to eat. To create the peculiar texture of this green curiosity, our inventors experimented with pistachios and other nuts to get it just right. Stirring in soap flakes, pistachios, peanuts and walnuts gives Noubar one of the most striking appearances in our range of handmade soaps. It lathers up into rich, creamy foam that cleans and leaves a lingering scent on your hands. The smoky, slightly bitter scent of vetivert and rose took a lot of work, but it paid off with Noubar.
The ingredients are: Water (Aqua) , Glycerine , Rapeseed Oil , Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Helianthus annuus; Cocos nucifera) , Chopped Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea) , Chopped Almonds (Prunus dulcis) , Chopped Walnuts (Juglans regia) , Sodium Hydroxide , Perfume , Titanium Dioxide , Pistachio Nuts (Pistacia vera) , Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides) , Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides) , Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena) , Cedarwood Oil (Cupressus funebris) , Sodium Chloride , Geraniol , *Citronellol , FD&C Blue No. 1.
Here is my view on it
Pros: I love the color...pastel green. I like the smell of it. There is no lather or bubbles so in a way its good because lather strip your skin from moisture. Soap is ultra moisturizing. When my bathroom door is opened after a while, I can smell light pistachio aroma which is pleasing for me.
Cons:You have to keep it in a well drained soap dish or the water deposited in the dish will melt the soap real fast. It lasting me more than I thought it would but it might be melting faster than regular soap bar. Though I like the pistachio chunks in the bar, I don`t think it does anything in terms of exfoliating or scrubbing and pieces fell out. The soap might be pricier than soap bars from regular store but I think Noubar may be one of the cheaper ones in Lush brand.
All in all I would give this 4.5/5
