Here comes another game review! This one everyone should know. It`s called The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, you play as the famous protagonist of the Zelda series, Link, as you go on yet another adventure to rescue the land of Hyrule from the evil wizard Ganadorf. Using the Ocarina of Time, you travel back and forth between the time your were a kid and the time you were an adult all in an attempt to revive the sacred sages and stop Ganondorf`s plans from coming to fruition.
The game play`s controls are easy to learn. Your own little fairy Navi and fellow characters in the game will teach you the moves and tricks for combat in the game itself, so it`s really easy to pick up. Graphics for this game were breathtakingly stunning; nothing like it had ever been seen before (besides Mario 64 perhaps). The marvelous character models, the beautiful landscapes, the incredible level layout and details made this game one of the most graphically detailed games ever to come out for the N64 or any game for the consoles of the day. Sound effects were also top of the line for the day. They were incredibly detailed in the sound from a simple sword swing, to the magical spell hits, to the incredible building collapses! The critically acclaimed soundtrack was absolutely beautiful for a cartage game. Having full orchestra music for some of the songs and simple single instruments in other songs made this one of the most widely varied soundtracks for any game for the N64. The story of the game is long and tremendously well written. Just about every character in the game had some small, or big, roll that would help you on your quest. There were also several mini quests along the way that also had a part in helping you in your major quest. This game is by far the best selling Zelda game in history and one of the the most sold games for a console ever also. The sheer volume of the game will alone keep you busy for days and days, but the enthralling story, and long fun game play will get you going for days also. One of the downs sides to the game is that eventually you`ll have to put it down to rest and eat.
All in all this is one of the best games I have ever played in my life. I`ve beaten this game approximately 16 times (I use my name and a number when naming my games). The sheer greatness of this game I guarantee will keep you coming back to play it again and again and again! I highly HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone. If you have never played it before GET TO PLAYING IT ALREADY!!! You`re missing one of the greatest games ever made!
