I have a Keurig and I have a regular 12-cup coffee pot. The Keurig is wonderful, I love it to pieces, but there are times where Im running late and waiting the few minutes for the Keurig to brew my coffee just isnt enough. Plus, to be honest having a Keurig is expensive. K-cups cost (at my grocery store) $6.99 for a box of 12. I can get a bag of coffee for $6 and make roughly 9 pots of coffee equaling 12-cup servings. My boyfriend and I are big coffee drinkers, so going back and fourth, brewing a pot is more economically priced especially if were looking for a cup or two in the morning (which is typically the case). The BF and I had been talking about getting a new coffee pot since the one we had was on the older side and it took FOREVER to brew (or when youre tired in the morning anything over a few minutes is an eternity). Since I got an offer on a new job and since the commute is further than I had worked before, I know in the mornings, with me getting ready and doing the prepping for work thing, anything to help speed up the process in the morning is a lifesaver. With that in walked the Mr. Coffee 12-cup Programmable Brewer.!
I actually purchased this at BJs, my local wholesale club for $29.99. I looked up the brand on my phone and saw the same item was on sale at Kohls for $59 or 69, the older version was listed on the Wal-Mart website for $19 but was no longer available, so I decided to just go ahead and get this. Its a really nice brewing system, stainless steel front, filtering system, etc. The best part though? You can select how strong you want your coffee AND its programmable so itll start brewing for me in the morning, minutes before I wake up and will stay on and warm for 2 hours and will automatically shut off. This baby is amazing, an entire pot of coffee is done in minutes AND if youre impatient and want a cup immediately before its done brewing you can remove the pot, pour your cup and put it back and itll pause the brewing for you. I love technology!!
Of course the only way thisll work completely is by planning ahead and making sure the night before that I fill the water resin and that I put in the flavored coffee that I wish to drink the next morning. Otherwise, Ill wake up to a pot of nothing and thatd be sad.
Now onto the specifics that this puppy can do:
On/Off Indicator Light
Removable Filter Basket
2-Hour Auto Shut Off
Brew Strength Selector
Special Cleaning Feature
If you want this exact 12-cup programmable brewer, Id suggest checking your local wholesale club; youd end up paying a whole lot less for this than you would at a typical retail shop.
How do you make your coffee in the morning?
Do you have a programmable brewer? If not, would you get one?
