Last night, I watched The Chaperone which is a movie that falls under action, comedy and family. This movie is about an ex-con who was in jail for seven years because he used to hang out with the wrong crowd of people (who were his so called friends) and was apart of a robbery scheme. While in jail Ray became a better person and once he got out of jail he wanted to make it right with his daughter, Sally as well as his ex-wife Lynne. He showed up at the house to only find out they aren`t accepting as he hoped. Ray followed Sally to school and they both ran into Sally`s teacher so Ray introduced himself. Little did Sally know, Ray was in for a treat because the school was short a chaperone and asked if Ray was available and he sure was! That didn`t make Sally happy one bit so Ray asked if Sally will ever forgive him.. Lynne did state that if he wanted them to trust him again, he should go out and look for a job. Ray struggling to find a job due to his past, his "friends" had a plan for one last bank robbery as Ray being the driver. Ray accepts but as he sees the bus lining up for the field trip, he leaves his friends behind and hops on the bus to be a chaperone. As the robbery goes down.. Ray is being accused of robbing the bank and one of his friends put the bag of money on thus bus. As the field trip is on the way to their destination.. the robbers are behind following them too! [Watch more to find out what happens, the robbers are loaded with guns too]
In the end, I thought this was a cute family movie with some action here and there. I would recommend this if you have nothing to watch on Netflix.
