The BlackBerry started as a messaging device. It took the mantra, "Do one thing, and do it well" and applied it to email ... and more specifically corporate email with Exchange integration. Despite all the hype surrounding the iPhone and all the great things that it does, the BlackBerry is still better at email. In the interest of full disclosure, I`ll also say that I just switched to an iPhone last week and still feel that way about the BlackBerry.
All of that being said, I think the iPhone is better at everything else -- and that its catching up with email. The web browsing experience is absolutely the best there is on a mobile device. The new application store is unparalleled in its simplicity and usefulness and the phone part itself is highly underrated.
Finally, it`s important for you to be comfortable with whatever device you choose. I would highly recommend going out to try each of them in the store. While this may be difficult for the iPhone as they are in short supply, you can get a feel for the device by using the iPod Touch -- which is basically the iPhone with out the phone apps.
Tell me what you think and comment! XOXO
