Today`s post is going to be all about top coats. If nail polish is your favorite accessory top coat definitely becomes that extra thing which makes it special. Here I`ll reveal my impressions of top coats I recently used on my nails.
1. Catrice Gel-Like Top Coat
I accidentally came across this product after a desperate long search for a nail polish. The name intriguingly said gel like and gel usually seems to become a synonym for longevity in terms of staying so I decided to give it a try. At first it seemed quite a nice item, a bit too thick but still something that can make my nails skinny and good looking. It could last well on the nails as well as chipped off if you put a tiny bit too much. But there was one thing about it that made me angry. After only a few times of usage the thickness has made this thing simply impossible too use.
I would call it a miss.
2. Orly Sec`n Dry Quick Deep-Dry Topcoat
Now I have to be honest I haven`t used too much of this product. Only borrowed it a few times from my sister. However, I was quick to realize that it could do wonders. This top coat gives a very nice drop like shiny finish. I don`t know about you, but a nail polish for me has to erase all the imperfections I might get after unsuccessful nail polish application and it does that for sure. You can also stop worrying about uneven nail surface problems. Dries quite fast too. Only one downside is that it tends to become too thick for usage too.
3. Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
Sorry, but for this time I`m going to say that this came out a huge disappointment for me. It`s probably the most expensive item on my list, but money can`t do it all, I guess. Every single time I try this sooner or later there`s a splash of bubbles coming to the surface destroying all my effort to make an even nail polish suface.
What`s coming next? Save the best for last.
4. Catrice Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat
In terms of shine, lasting, application and price this just had to come on the top of my list. At first it looks like a pretty ordinary product. It`s consistency is incredibly liquid like so you`ll make no wrong by applying too much of this. All the additional product would simply slip from your nails. Don`t make to much expectations out of it. As it`s so much watery it wouldn`t help to make your nails even. On the other hand, I can promise you quick drying process, shiny long lasting effect on the nails and you will be able to use all of it not worrying too much about top coat turning too thick - the rest is to do for you.
Here are all of my top coat impressions.
xo xo, I.
