Hello food lover, Try new things! This dish migrated from Haiti to our islands and believe me i`m happy it did, because its to die for. This dish has all the right tastes in all the right places. We call it Grio, but the proper creole name for it is Griot. Made by frying perfectly seasoned boneless pork picnic and fried pressed plantains.
The side that looks like Cole slaw is called Pickleys (at least i thinks that`s how its spelled) made with shredded lettuce, carrots, hot pepper, vinegar and lime juice.
After you`ve had this once you will always want more. EXPERIENCED
