My family and I just finished having our Thanksgiving dinner and it was absolutely delicious! We had a bunch of yummy dishes and, of course, a fabulous turkey! Gobble gobble! :)
We had a 15 pound turkey which turned out to be just the right size (including leftovers, lol). It took about 4 hours in the oven to cook. I always love how the kitchen smells while it`s cooking! We didn`t do anything incredibly super special to our turkey like some people do, but we do season ours exceptionally well (if I do say so myself, haha). We basically do a roasting turkey (just like you would do for a chicken) with rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and some paprika on it. Absolutely delicious!!
I always love eating the skin - I know some people think that`s gross or whatever, but it`s just so crispy and good haha! I usually go for a leg, too, but this time I just had some skin and then just regular breast meat carved right off the bone. Yum! It was tender and delicious and seasoned just right :)
I`d love to hear how you prepare your turkey for Thanksgiving!!
