Anyone remember my /viz/%E2%9D%80-unboxing-my-first-glossybox-christmas-edition-2011-pic-heavy? You can click the link to read my post about it but in the box of samples I received a Deborah Lippman polish in /viz/%E2%9C%B0-new-years-nails-dl-razzle-dazzle-31122011 and the Stripper to go nail mittens. Whilst wearing the polish I thought I`d try out the mittens too but before I did I decided to add Snowglobe to my accent nail. I figured I`d make things a little harder because I had high hopes for it. When I was picturing my nails I couldn`t help but think dangggg! Snowglobe actually looks nice so I snapped an extra picture. Th packet only comes with one mitten and DL claims that one mitt cleans 10 nails. I don`t know what it`s made of but you know what it remnds me of? The material felt. It`s a bit fuzzy too, you could see that in the picture. I tested it on my thumb at first, left it on for a few minutes rubbed it and voila! My nail was squeeky clean. I tried it on my ring finger too but didn`t leave it on long enough and ended up with what I had in picture 8, yucky! I guess Snowglobe made it a bit hard to remove even though the mitten had acetone in it. My ring finger became frozen using this mitten, it`s like sticking your finger in a ice pack. In the end I just lost patience and removed the rest of the polish with my own acetone. I didn`t continue from there because I felt sorry for my fingers haha. I do like the idea behind this being able to remove polish whilst you`re on the go (hence the name). I reckon it`ll just about be able to clean all 10 nails if you had a glitter polish because they need extra minutes. With a creme polish it might come off with the mitten still slightly moist. This is apparently an award winning remover and it costs $12 for a box of 6 packets of mittens. Thats $2 for each but would I purchase it myself? No sorry but these mitts have acetone and with those $12 you can purchase a few bottles of acetone that does the same job. The mitt has ingredients like aloe vera/lavender but that doesn`t justify the price. This was an interesting products to test out though. What do you think of DL`s stripper to go? Would you purchase this product?
