One afternoon, my friends and I ventured into a small little restaurant in Korea town that served mostly bibimbap.
I never really knew that you can have various types of bibimbap until that day. When I think of Bibimbap, I immediately think of vegetables, rice, egg and beef.
So I decided to order their Tempura Shrimp Dolsot bibimbap since I`m a big fan of tempura shrimp.
When I got my food, I was very surprised. The rice was designed like a Japanese donburi. The rice was covered with a deep fried egg. On top of that, they layered on tempura shrimp.
I wish they had put vegetables in the bibimbap, I would`ve been a lot happier if they did. My lunch turned out to be carbs, fat and protein without any actual good vegetables in it.
As cute as the premise of the restaurant is, serving different types of bibimbap, I think I`ll stick to the most popular kind. Personally, I think it tastes better.
