There are a lot of top celebrities who donates money, help and support causes but I think one of the young ones that is doing a great job is Taylor Swift. She has created a campaign that protects children from online predators as well as supporting charities, foundations by donating her time/money/spreading the word.
One touching and recent story is about a leukemia fighter whose been diagnosed since 13 named Kevin McGuire. He actually was cancer free back in 2010 but it sadly returned (and hopefully he will be able to battle it again). As of right now he`s a high school student and prom is just around the corner. He`s a little bummed that his hair is falling out and thinks that will be a problem to getting a date. Kevin has been a life long fan of Taylor Swift so when his sister asked "WHAT IF She can get Taylor Swift to be his prom date"..
And guess what his sister, Victoria did? She opened a Facebook account, telling the world about her situation (her little brother) and trying to reach out to Taylor Swift to see this and Taylor Swift did in fact get the memo!
She sadly rejected the offer to Prom but she countered to asking Kevin to be her date to the Country Music Awards in April. Of course Kevin Agreed.
So, it shows that a person one in a billion, zillion, how ever big the universe is can reach out to a celebrity and the celebrity has a kind heart to respond. I think that is very nice gesture. =)
I hope second time around Kevin can battle leukemia and be leukemia free and see Taylor Swift.
