I posted a small glimpse of my first experience trying macarons a little while back. They are often confused with macaroons. A macaron is typically made with egg whites and sugary goodness. They also have filling of uniquely flavoreded ganache or buttercreams. This is a tasty French dessert that has gained much popularity over the past year.
This one is an <strong>Apricot</strong> macaron. It has a chewy and soft outer texture, it`s so interesting how it kind of crumbles in your mouth like a cake would, but has a chewy texture like a cookie. In between it tastes like apricot jam. It`s really sweet and practically melts in your mouth. This wasn`t my favorite flavor out of all the ones I tried, but it was pretty good :)
