Tarte Thoughtful Treasures Review

I posted about my Birthday Sephora haul back in October. See it here; http://www.luuux.com/viz/sephora-birthday-haul-13

One of the items I purchased was the Tarte Thoughtful Treasures set which has 3 minis of some of their bestselling products. It includes a mini Maracuja Oil, a Mini Lip Surgence pencil in Energy and a mini Amazonian Clay blush in Thankful.

Starting with the the Mini Maracuja oil, I must saw I didn`t expect to like it too much, but it has been a savior during the winter months. I wouldn`t suggest it for oily skin (duh!), but it has been awesome for the dry winter time flakiness I tend to experience.

The Lip Surgence pencil has been a bit of a flop for me, at least in this shade. Energy is essentially just a clear pink colour. It basically does that same as any old chapstick or balm. I wouldn`t get this colour in the full size, but I am tempted to try one of the deeper colours. Some are supposed to have great colour payoff. This did feel nice on the lips, but does little in terms of colour.

Lastly, there is the Amazonian Clay Blush in Thankful. This was the product I was most eager to try. Tarte is most famous for their Amazonian Clay blushes and bronzers, but I have never tried them before.

I was quite impressed with the colour payoff for Thankful. It is a pink shade with a hint of coral but you need to use a light hand, because the colour payoff can be intense! However, the blush blended nicely and settles nicely on the skin. I`ve enjoyed using it and I feel like this mini could last me forever since it is so pigmented!

Overall, this set was a great buy at only 23 CAD. I saw it still on sale at my local Sephora just a few days ago, so it might be worth checking out!
