If any of you guys live in Canada, you definitely must have heard that Target is closing here in Canada. It is such a shame, since they only arrived in Canada less than 2 years ago.
I love Target and I`m sad to see one of my favourite stores go (especially since it is also super convenient since it is so close to me).
The only plus side to Target closing is the clearout sales in order to get rid of inventory.
The sales actually started a few weeks ago, and this was the first of a few hauls and probably the largest one, since stock has dwindled every week.
When the sales first started the discounts weren`t too big except for cosmetics. So even on the first day of sales, most of the cosmetics were already gone, or had been opened and messed with, but I was still able to find some great steals.
I ended up choosing 2 new mascaras since they were both being cleared for pretty good prices. I love L`oreal`s Voluminous mascaras, and I was able to find the new `Butterfly Intenza` version and picked it up. There were also a handful of Covergirl`s new Full Bloom mascara still available and I chose one of those as well.
Speaking of Covergirl, I also managed to find a tube of their new Ready, Set, Gorgeous foundation that hadn`t been opened or tampered with in what looked to be the perfect shade for me. I had actually looked for this foundation at Walmart, but the 105 shade was missing in the display so I was happy to find it for cheaper. I`ve heard good things about this foundation so we will see how it works.
I also found a Physician`s Formula BB powder that was greatly discounted. I was a sucker for the cute packaging and since the powder looked nice and finely milled I decided that I wanted to give it a try.
I was also happy to find some products I have been curious to try that were barely looked over. I`m not sure if they had just put out the displays or if people weren`t interested for whatever reason, but I was excited to see some stuff that I have been interested in trying out available.
First from that list is the Annabelle `Stay Sharp` eyeliners. These creamy eyeliners are supposed to be great for the waterline and never require sharpening. I have a lot of black eyeliners, so I chose a nice plum shade instead.
There were also a handful of the Rimmel Apocalypse lip colours that were still sealed with testers available. After swatching a bunch, I picked out 2 colours; a deep fuchsia and a orange-y coral.
Still in the cosmetics section, I was able to find a bottle of green Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail polish. It had a clearance sticker on it, plus with the additional 30 percent off, it was a no brainer! It`s a fun spring time colour.
I also took a look at the hair section where items were also 30 percent off. I managed to find some of my all time favourite hair tools, the Goody Spin pins! These are great for a quick and easy hair-do that will stay put all night long! I got a pack of the long ones as a back up and also a pack of the mini ones for half up/half down styles.
And lastly, I was able to find a box of Venus razor cartridges and figured it would be as good a time as any to stock up while they were on sale. I have a bunch at home, but my sister also uses them so it`s always nice to have extras `just in case`.
I`m super sad that Target will be gone soon, but I do have a few more hauls coming your way since I`ve been taking advantage of the decreasing prices as they close all the Canadian stores. :(
