While I was grocery shopping the other day, I decided to pick up this Tai Pei brand sweet and sour chicken. It`s frozen and you heat it up - I`ve had it before and it`s alright, so I decided to get it for those days when I don`t feel like cooking anything, lol. And lo and behold, that day happened to occur right afterward so I ended up making it, haha.
It takes 5 to 6 minutes in the microwave and then it`s good to go! It has breaded chicken, white rice, pineapple chunks, and vegetables along with the sweet and sour sauce all inside. I`m not really a fan of the vegetables but the pineapple pieces are pretty good. I mix it all together in the box so that the sauce gets distributed and then I put it all on a plate :)
The chicken and rice is actually my favorite part. The chicken is quite good for being just breaded and then microwaved, haha. The sauce really pulls everything together. It`s definitely not the greatest sweet and sour chicken in the world by any means, but it gets the job done when you`re hungry and don`t feel like making real food, haha.
