Hey Luuuxers, I`m back with another food post from trip to Australia!
This time, I couldn`t help but post about the amazing seafood in Sydney. In fact, I was enjoying incredible seafood my whole trip starting with Bali and all over Australia as well.
But I hadn`t had a chance to have sushi, and I have heard that sushi in Sydney is amazing and rivals even parts of Japan!
So when I went to the Sydney Harbour fish markets, I made a point to get some sushi! The fish market features hundreds of vendors and stand where you can purchase fish caught right out the water! This same market offers fresh fish sold wholesale for restaurants or for personal use. But you can also get a meal of prepared seafood from one of the many vendors.
I went with some fresh calamari from one stand and was also able to get a small freshly prepared rainbow roll from another.
The calamari came from a vendor with an incredibly large crowd surrounding it, clamouring to get their food! I just ordered a small serving of calamari to try. The sushi was prepared behind a counter filled with ice. People could get sushi grade fish to take home to cook, or could watch the chef whip up their desired roll on the spot. I figured a rainbow roll would be a good way to taste different kinds of fish!
It was amazing to see the organized chaos of the markets, and even better to eat there!
I was completely impressed with the seafood and if you ever find yourself in Sydney make a point to visit, especially if you love seafood!
