Hello food luuuxers! I am showing you an absolutely delicious dinner that my boyfriend made for me today. We ate sweet potato flavored chicken, broccoli, and brown rice.
The sweet potato chicken was purchased from the grocery store as a pre-breaded chicken. All we had to do was preheat the oven to 400 degrees and let it cook for 20 minutes.
At first I was a little skeptical about sweet potato flavored bread crumbs but t actually tasted really good! I wish I could describe the taste to you but it was like nothing I have ever eaten before.
The broccoli was chopped and boiled for about 6 minutes. After draining the broccoli we mixed it with butter and lemons to give it a sweet flavor.
As for the rice, I have posted how we cook out rice in a previous blog but in case you have not seen that one I will tell you again. We start by chopping up some onions and peppers. We heat a pot with oil and throw the onions and peppers in. Let they cook for about 5 minutes to let the flavor out. If you desire a darker rice like what we made today let the onions and peppers cook for longer, approximately 10 minutes until it looks almost as if try are about to burn. Then pour in one cup of rice and mix thoroughly. Next, pour in two cups of boiling water. Cover the pot and let cook. Do not lower the heat until you can see that the water has boiled below the rice. At this point uncover and mix occasionally.
This meal was absolutely delicious. Try it out and like know what you think!
