Swatches: OPI The Amazing Spider-Man Collection

I don`t have all of them, but I have five of the shades from the OPI The Amazing Spider-Man Collection to share with you. I bought My Boyfriend Scales Walls in a full-size bottle and the collection`s mini set. I wanted Just Spotted the Lizard! and Number One Nemesis in full size bottles, but they were sold out of JSTL! so I settled for the mini set.

My Boyfriend Scales Walls is an opaque creme white with a blue/grey tint. I was surprised by the opacity of this one. I thought it would be a sheer streaky mess, but I only ended up needing two coats. I`m not sure how I feel about this one on me, but I don`t have anything else quite like it.

Just Spotted the Lizard! is the shade that I was most excited for. It`s a metallic duochrome with gold, green, and some blue. It`s allegedly a dupe for Chanel Peridot. I don`t own Peridot, so I can`t confirm that for sure, but the side by side comparisons I`ve seen are pretty spot-on. I couldn`t tell a difference between the two. I used two coats for this, but a third coat would probably really make the duochrome effect more prominent.

Number One Nemesis is the other shade that I was really excited about. This is a steel grey/pewter at first glance, but it actually has specks of tons of different colors that give it a lot of dimension. This is supposed to be a dupe for Chanel Graphite, but again, I don`t own the Chanel version to compare. From the pictures I`ve seen, Graphite seems a bit more sparkly and dimensional, but I still really enjoy Number One Nemesis. I used two coats.

Your Web or Mine? is a frosty pink with a hint of coral. Bleh! This is the shade that I honestly knew I would not like or ever wear. I only put it on for swatching purposes. This is a total grandma color, in my opinion. The formula was very opaque and smooth, but I do not care for this finish. I used two coats.

Into the Night is a metallic denim blue. I like the color, but I wouldn`t consider it groundbreaking or anything. It was very sheer! I did three heavy coats, but a fourth coat probably would have been even better. It was barely even visible on my nails after the first coat. I probably won`t wear this often just because I have other blues that are much more opaque.

I bought everything at Ulta, but you should be able to find this collection where ever OPI is normally sold. The full-size bottles retail for $8.50 each and the mini set was $12.50.

Did you get anything from this collection?
