I`m finally getting around to posting the swatches of the Essie Bikini So Teeny Collection! I`ve already posted swatches of one of the shades, Cascade Cool, but I figured I would put them in this post too, just to have them all together in one post.
I guess I`ll start with my favorite from the collection. Mojito Madness is a green creme. I`ve heard others say that they had issues with the formula, but I guess it varies by the bottle because I had no issues. This one actually had the best formula of the bunch, from my experience. I used two coats for total coverage, but it was nearly opaque with the first coat.
Fear or Desire is an orange creme. I think it`s showing up a little brighter in the pictures than in person. It`s not quite as bright as other oranges that have come out recently. The formula was kind of weird with this one. It was opaque, yet it dried a different color than when it was first applied, so when I went to apply the second coat, it made it look streaky, so I had to do three coats.
Off the Shoulder is a bright (not neon) pink creme. I definitely don`t think that it`s a very unique color, but it`s still a pretty pink for spring/summer. The formula was fine and I used two coats.
Bikini So Teeny (also the name of the collection) is a light blue with some silver shimmer. The shimmer is pretty much invisible on the nails, though. I used three coats. The formula was a little thinner/runnier, but it wasn`t hard to deal with. I just had to make sure to get a lot of the extra product off of the brush before applying. This is another favorite of mine. The weird thing that I noticed about this shade is that it stinks a lot more and in a different way than the other shades. The other shades have a normal nail polish odor, but this one had a sewage/skunk smell that I wasn`t too fond of.
All Tied Up is the only other shade from the collection with shimmer. Unlike Bikini So Teeny, the shimmer actually shows up on the nails. It has a golden shimmer. I like this shade, but I feel like I would get more use out of it in the fall. It doesn`t seem to go with the rest of the colors in the collection. The formula was great and very opaque. I used two coats.
Cascade Cool is a cool-toned pink. It has a hint of lavender to it. It has a creme finish. I had no issues with this one, formula-wise. I only needed two coats. This is my third pick from the collection.
Cascade Cool is shown with base coat and top coat, but all the other shades are pictured wit NO base or top coat.
