Hi everyone! Here are swatches of three Revlon polishes that I got recently. I did end up wearing Scandalous for a couple days after these were swatched, but it didn`t last too long on my nails.
Smoldering is a beautiful tri-chrome polish that flashes silver, green and purple depending on the light and it also has shimmer running through it. This is really similar to /viz/was-on-my-nails-wet-n-wilds-quotgrays-anatomyquot, which was supposed to be a dupe for Deborah Lippmann`s Wicked Games nail polish. Unlike Gray`s Anatomy, this one is a bit more opaque and it doesn`t seem to streak as much because it has a more shimmery finish than a metallic/pearly finish.
Scandalous is a blackish base polish with small fuchsia glitter and larger hexagon fuchsia glitter. This didn`t look so great with one coat because there were areas that were really thin, and the base was not as dark or opaque. Two coats really did the trick though. This is actually the really popular Facets of Fuchsia, just renamed. This is also supposedly a dupe of a Deborah Lippmann polish: Bad Romance.
Sparkling has a clear light pink base with rose colored glitter and larger hexagon rose glitter as well. Placement of the glitters was a little tricky because the base is on the runny side. One coat didn`t deposit a lot of glitter, and two coats doesn`t do much either, so three or four coats would make it a nice polish topper. This shade reminds me of the rose gold Luxe Effect polish from Essie. I got all of these for $5.50 each at Walgreens, but these are much cheaper than any of the polishes they could be dupes for. The formula on all of these were very workable: neither too runny or thick. Have you tried any of these polishes? What are your thoughts on them? Thanks for reading!
