Hi everyone! Here are some swatches of a OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) Lip Tar I purchased a long time ago and never got around to reviewing. These were very popular when they came out, which is what prompted me to purchase a couple of them.
The Lip Tars come in a wide variety of colors, from wearable to fun, and you can mix them together to create custom shades. The color shown here is `Hush,` which is a cream finish peach shade.
What appealed to me about these products was they were very pigmented and opaque - a little definitely goes a long way. The biggest problem I had with these was they didn`t look right to me on the lips. These never looked as good on me as they did on the other people who reviewed them. Adding more product made my lips look vinyl-y, and stand out in a way that wasn`t appealing; using less product made my lips look dry and cracked. I noticed that my lips also had to be in perfect condition, otherwise this product would accentuate any dryness, flaking or cracking. My lips on a regular basis are not smooth and perfect, so I could only attempt to wear this product once or twice a month.
In the end I had purchased three shades and returned all of them because they didn`t look good on me. These are vegan, cruelty-free and $18 at Sephora and http://sephora.com
Thanks for reading! Have you tried any of these OCC Lip Tars? What did you think of them?
