Hi everyone! A couple weeks ago I purchased some new ELF products from Target and I`ve gotten a chance to try them out and give my initial impressions along with some swatches.
This is the ELF Blush and Bronzer duo in `Turks & Caicos,` which is one of the relatively new shades for these duos. Original there was only one blush/bronzer duo which they now call `St. Lucia.` The third shade in the collection is called `Antigua.`
Price & Availability:
>> Available at Target, http://eyeslipsface.com, Kmart and there may be other possible retailers for ELF products
Shade & Finish:
>> Blush: light rosy shade with gold shimmer
>> Bronzer: very warm (red) brown with gold shimmer
>> Sleek black plastic
>> Large mirror in the lid
>> Compared to the original duo that first came on, this packaging was slightly smaller
>> Relatively easy to get
>> Comes in 3 shades
>> Very pigmented
>> Product can be very soft and powdery
>> This particular blush may not show up if you are of a darker skintone
>> The biggest con for me was the blush was way too red/warm and looked very unnatural on my skin. Also, the blush applied very patchy on my skin and was difficult to blend.
I bought this product because I actually really like the original shade and wanted to love this one too. The bronzer, however, is way to warm and dark for my light-medium skintone. Because it is so heavily pigmented, it stays pretty much where you first apply it and you have to buff it out with a denser brush in order to get a natural look. I like that it`s very affordable and easy to get, but this shade was not for me.
Thanks for reading! Have you tried any of these blush/bronzer duos yet? What did you think of them?
