Hi everyone! Here are some swatches of ELF`s Mineral Lipstick in Natural Nymph. I had purchased this a long time ago in my very first online ELF haul but haven`t gotten around to reviewing or really trying out any of the products from the haul. There`s just too much makeup in my drawers and I should really shop my stash before buying new items.
Price & Availability - $5.00 - Available for sure on http://eyeslipsface.com
Shade & Finish - Natural Nymph is a creme finish nude beige shade
Packaging - Square black plastic packaging - Very sleek for a $5 lipstick - Lightweight feeling
Scent - No scent
Pros - Pigmented - Creamy - Easy to apply - Cheap price - Sleek packaging - No scent, for all you sensitive sniffers out there
Neutrals - May only be available online: some ELF stuff is available at Target, but I don`t know if this line of lipsticks or this shade is available there
Cons - This color looks like death on me
Thoughts I originally bought this lipstick because it was one of the favorite lipsticks of a Luuuxer who used to be on here a long time ago but left for health reasons, so I went ahead and added it to my order. In the tube is looks like a nude beige-brown so I thought it would be a good shade to wear in the colder months. However, when I went to swatch this shade on my lips, the color went from being a brown shade to being very beige/off-white. So my lips looked like death warmed over and I`ve been put off this lipstick ever since that first swatch. I have tried to make it work for me by mixing it with other lipsticks or lipglosses, but I really don`t like doing that. The mindset is: I want it to work right off the bat. If I need to do something to it to make it look good on me, then it`s not worth having because that`s too much hassle.
Overall I`m really not sure who can pull off this lipstick except for the very fair or those who are darker and going for that very obvious nude/white lip, but this lipstick did not work well with my coloring at all. I have other nude shades that still leave me looking alive. Thanks for reading! Have you tried out this shade? What do you think of it? All images and content are my own.
