I purchased this LOreal Colour Riche polish at Walgreens and this was one of the shades that immediately caught my attention. I tend to like darker polishes, but lately Ive been getting into the lighter spectrum and even reds. This shade is the exact shade that it is in the bottle. I know a lot of people have been saying their LOreal polishes vary in consistency and they arent coming up to be the same shade they see within the bottle. But thankfully this one is the same and it transfers to be as gorgeous in the bottle as it is on the nails.
Stroke of Midnight 570 is a deep, dark, grey shade that has microshimmers in it. The polish appears almost metallic and as LOreal promised with the Colour Riche line this polish applies VERY shiny. Whats pictured is a swatch without a top coat, so with a top coat it would only preserve the shine and make it pop more.
I will say that I find when applying this it can apply a little patchy. Let me clarify what I mean by patchy though. When you begin painting this onto the nail and if you touch a portion where the polish already was, it almost swipes it away but leaves a stain instead of the color. Its easily fixable by painting another layer over it so it wasnt terribly annoying to me.
What is shown in the photos is two coats. You could possibly get away with one coat if this if you were to apply it heavy handedly, but I feel you get the best color payoff with two. Three I think would just be a bit overkill and would make the polish too thick on your nails.
Have you tried any of the new LOreal Colour Riche nail polishes?
