Hi everyone! Earlier this month my boyfriend and I took a little weekend trip to Reno, and one of the places I insisted we eat for dinner was at the Sushi Bar at the Atlantis hotel. If you`ve been following me for a while then you may remember that I went to this exact same restaurant with my parents the last time my family went to Reno a few years ago and we really enjoyed the food, so of course I told my boyfriend we had to visit. Needless to say, he really enjoyed the experience.
If you`ve never been to the Sushi Bar on the Sky Terrace, there is a small sushi bar you can sit at and request sushi to be made by their in-house sushi chefs, and it is all you can eat for $26. There is table seating around the bar, but I think that is NOT all you can eat. Because we went on a Sunday evening and school had already started for most people, it was pretty empty and there was no wait. The last time I went the wait was about 1.5 hours!
As you can tell from the pictures above, we ate A LOT of sushi. My boyfriend and I picked our own rolls to eat and I ate 3 while he ate 5. Because it was a slow night the chef also made us an off-menu creation (the `chef`s special` above) for us to try. This is their way of trying new combinations and getting a customer`s reaction to see if it`s good enough to be put on the menu. Everything was really good and really fresh and because there weren`t too many people we pretty much had the exclusive attention of our chef.
My boyfriend enjoyed the experience so much that he wanted to go back the next night, but I was sushi-ed out!
Thanks for reading! Have you ever tried this restaurant before or have any other restaurant recommendations in Reno?
