I had fun doing the first pair of shorts so I decided to make another pair of shorts, but this time with dye. I purchased a few boxes of fabric dye, I only ended up using one for this DIY.
I started off with the same steps as my 1st DIY shorts
I followed the instructions on the dye box. I boiled water and poured it into a bucket then added most of the pack of Fuchsia dye and two table spoons of salt and mixed that all up. I then dunked my shorts in the mixture. I made sure to use gloves since the water does get really hot and I didn`t want my hands to turn bright pink. I let the shorts sit in the mixture for about 10 minutes and then rinsed them in clean water slowly transitioning from hot to cold. Then I threw them in the washer and dryer.
I added gold pyramid studs to one side and WAAAAA-LAAAA!! You got yourself some cool shorts! I like the way they turned out looking sort of ombred, but I actually only used the fuchsia dye.
Have you created any DIY`s this summer?
