I`m an adventurous person so I`m often times on-the-go doing hikes and climbs and adventures (diving might be next!). A lot of the time, I`m with male adventure enthusiasts and so style and wardrobe often becomes next to non-existent/important. Being `one of the guys` is great, especially while hiking or climbing (kill that bug for me, scare the bear away for me, help me up this boulder, haha), but looking like one can be de-feminizing. So I try to look both cute and comfortable while staying ready for anything I may meet on a trail.
Athletic leggings are my bottom-of-choice. In the hotter months, I do wear shorts, but more skin equals more bug bites. So I try to stick to cropped leggings. I recently found a fantastic pair at Ross. They make my legs look great, they were inexpensive, and they`re cute! Perfect :)
As for tops, I`m not as picky, just as long as they`re not see-through (no thanks!). I often reach for a tank (such as my alma mater one shown in the pic) or a special wicking-shirt (a shirt that helps draw moisture away from your body). I`m a female and I want to show it - not be covered up in more bulky, shapeless outdoor clothing!
Unfortunately, hiking shoe styles are kind of limited. Yes, there are a million different brands, but they pretty much are guaranteed not to be as cute as heels or pretty flats, haha. I wear barefoot trail runners, so they don`t make my feet look bulky at all like some boots can.
All around, I plan for my adventures while keeping style in mind! I enjoy the trip a bit more if I feel good in what I`m wearing :)
