As we get older, we can get stuck with a style that may no longer suit our age. It can be tricky to make changes when you don`t know where to start. Follow my tips on how to stay young and look great.
IT`S IN THE FIT
Looking youthful starts with embracing your figure. Baggy clothes will make you look frumpy and add years. Avoid anything loose, instead look for clothes that skim your figure. It`s important to show your shape, but you should also steer clear of anything that`s too clingy or short - and always remember to wear underwear that fits.
KNOW YOUR STYLE
Wear what suits you rather than following trends too closely. Look for classics such as well-fitted jeans, pretty tops, and jackets that nip in at the waist. Accessories are the easiest way to follow trends, so add a coloured handbag or statement necklace to stay fashionable. Try Colette by Colette Hayman at http://www.colettehayman.com.au for lovely pieces.
GO FOR THE CHOP
A great haircut can really update your look. Ask your hairdresser what styles will suit your face shape and what colours will suit your skin. If you are not completely sure you trust that your hairdresser is giving you the best advice, you can always walk into another salon.
As we get older, hair and skin can become dry. Stay hydrated with a great moisturiser and a regular hair treatment or mask. Don`t go overboard with heavy foundation and too much powder, which can highlight fine lines.
p.s some style icons are pictured up above. I love both Jennifer and Katherine`s style. They are my style icons for sure.
