The other day I came home to 3 boxes of strawberries so of course I had to use them up before they go bad. The strawberries by themselves were quite tart so I added a whole banana to the mix. Usually half a banana would be enough, but no one wanted to eat the other half for me. To add a little extra refreshing kick, I added about 2-3 slices of lemons, with the skin to the mix. The lemon helped to tone down the banana flavor which can be overwhelming at times. To top it off, I added a tablespoon of chia seeds to add an extra touch of healthy goodness.

If you have fruit that`s ripe and you don`t think you`ll be able to finish it, wash it and dry it, remove leaves and other extra bits you normally remove before consumption, and freeze. Of course, if its a big piece of fruit, say peaches, slice them up first, then freeze.
