Sticky Rice With Pork Meat (Banh Giay Gio)

Growing up my grandma would make this all the time for her grand kids. It was one of my favorite! Here and there I would pick this up at the Asian Market. Banh Giay Gio is the Vietnamese terminology for the actual food.

These are usually wrapped in a banana leaf. It contains two pieces of the round sticky rice a long a piece of pork. The sticky rice is a White bun that`s attached to the banana leaf. The whole deal with the banana leaf is to keep the sticky rice off your fingers. Not a lot of people like to eat them because of the texture! The texture seem to be thicker!
