So I posted a weight loss article probably a year ago but that pretty much fell through. This time my girlfriend and I are going to try weight watchers. We aren`t doing the paid version because that costs $5 a week. We just calculated our points based on age, weight and height. The premise of weight watchers is that you have a certain number of points that you are allowed to eat a day. All foods have point values.
It is a form of calorie counting but not because the points arent based on calories, they are based on carbs, fat, fiber and protein. So a cup of cereal is about 3 points while a chocolate doughnut is 7 points. It challenges you to make healthy choices. All fruits and vegetables are 0 points so you can eat as many of those as you want and not use up your points.
I know people who have done this before and lost 20 lbs without working out. As long as you stay under your points and keep up with changing your points as you lose weight it can work for awhile!
Have you ever tried weight watchers and how much did you lose?
