Happy St. Patrick`s Day everyone :D
I`ve actually never celebrated or did anything for St Patrick`s day but I suppose there`s gotta be a first time for everything. With that said, I can add another check on my accomplished list. Yay!
Anyhoo, I will be going out with a couple friends tonight so I wanted to post my St Patty`s day nail and make up before I head out the door. I actually did my nails Thursday night and make up look last night just so that I can post it before tonight. I guess I will have to redo the makeup again tonight, lol...So much work. Stay tuned for the makeup look following this post.
So this is what I am currently wearing on my nails. As the title indicates, I have China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (TUT) as the base color. It`s such a lovely color! If you check the bottom pictures, that`s how it looks on its own. TUT has an interesting finish. At first it looks a little shimmery but once it dries, it looks matte. Weird. I don`t know how to describe it but maybe looking at the picture will help. It dries also fairly quick. On the swatch I have 3 coats of TUT.
I used Sinful Colors Ocean Green on top of TUT. Green Ocean was a bit of a pain to apply. It`s very thick and goopy. The flakies are translucent bluish green and there`s also green and blue glitters. The base is a sheer light green color. Another problem I had with this polish is the flakies, most of them will lay flat but a few of them won`t. I`m not a fan of Sinful Colors at all. I`ve never liked the consistency of their formula but because the flakies and glitters looked so cute in this polish, I decided to deal with it, lol.
Overall, I`m very pleased with my St Patty`s day manicure. Green Ocean add so much more oomph to TUT. I just love starring at my nails. It`s a lot prettier in person and my camera just doesn`t do this manicure justice.
Do you celebrate St Patrick`s day? What are you wearing for St Patrick`s day?
