The photos that you can see above are from a very famous garden called "Jardim de Santa Barbara" or Saint Barbara`s Garden, and it is located right in the middle of one of the oldest Portuguese cities: Braga.
Braga is a great city, located in the north of Portugal. It is known by their historic buildings, with a lot of churches and religious buildings everywhere... But that`s not because it is one of the oldest cities in the countries that it is old with old people and that kind of stuff. Actually, it was nominated the European Capital of Youth for the year 2012. So to commemorate this, the city will have a lot of music and cultural events, making the city more attractive, not only because of its history, or its architectural interest, but also because it will have cool parties and other stuff.
So, if you ever visit Portugal, make sure that you visit Braga and, once you`re there, just go to Jardim de Santa Barbara and relax, while you feel the sweet smell of all those beautiful flowers, give a little break to your eyes with the beautiful landscape and chill while you hear the water coming out of a water fountain just in the middle of the garden. I truly recommend it.
Have you ever visited Portugal? Have you ever visited Braga? What do you think of this garden?
