I love going to Dollarama as you always get great candy, like Turtles, for cheap! In stores, they usually cost about $2.49 a pack of 3 but at Dollarama, they're $0.69 a pack of 3!

So when I saw these fruit gummies, I just had to buy them for $2.

They're made by a company called McCormicks. McCormicks is actually a Canadian company formed in the Maritime provinces that made candy in the early 1900s. As you can tell from the name, it's a family owned company and they create a lot of the gummy candy that you see on the market, especially the huge bags you find at Walmart.

Last time, I had bought a bag of red berry gummies from McCormicks at Dollarama and I was instantly addicted to them. They were very small and juicy unlike the red berries by Allen. So I managed to clear off 5 bags in a month!

When I saw these sour fruit slice gummies, I just had to try them.

However, they did not meet my expectations =(. Rather than being juicy, the candies were very hard due to the sour sugar coating. They were also big pieces, about the size of your thumbnail and were exceptionally chewy. I don't really like having candy stuck in my teeth, do you?

Personally, I would stick to my red berries as they really do taste good. I think its mainly due to the size of the candy. When candies are big pieces, they don't taste as good I find. I still have an entire bag left from 6 months ago. I guess I'll bring it to the office and see who wants it.
