I saw an image of a lovely room set in purple (pic2) and my head went to a place... I imagined, what would the person throwing a dinner party here wear... and my creative juices flowed to this ensemble.
The dress I think is great, it`s simple with the perfect amount of glam with the cutout back (which I fell in love with before I even saw the front!), the rouching at the shoulders and of course the embroidered waistline! So fab! The shoes I chose something monochromatic, as soon as I saw the larger than life bejeweled broach on the peep I knew this one was the one. The feathers aren`t a bad touch either.
Of course we have the earrings that followed, it was something about the green bows with the dangling pearl, won me over pretty much instantly! The bracelets, one glammed up and the others simply complimentary and subdued for the other hand... and of course the rings are to follow...
The rings and the necklace I absolutely adore! Check out the source link so you can see them up close, these images always blur out a bit on Polyvore. The green one is from Forever 21, so you know it`s a steal and that one I chose because I think it`s looks great with both the shoes and of course not lastly the bows on the earrings! whooo! I love it! Sorry I had a bit of a moment there!... so anyway, lol the other ring I think is just as much of a statement piece of its own. It sparkles, it`s large, it swirls and it is definitely an eye grabbing ring, and if worn on the wrist with the more subdued bracelets... BAM! You have 2 statements on each arm and hand separately! For the necklace I wanted something not so glam but still so perfect and since I love the naturalness of agate I chose this pendant necklace which touches on those teals.
I chose the Revlon Emerald City in Matte finish, modern because of the shade but classic because of the finish and not to mention how great it would look with those rings. The eyes I can picture it, a dual color combo for a dramatic eye, would look great. And the side swept voluminous curls over on the model... yeah... So Old Hollywood Glam.
