Hi everyone! This week at CVS Physicians Formula was 40% off and I had a ton of coupons so I decided to stock up on a new favorite foundation and get some other new items.
What I picked up:
>> Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless foundation in `Light` x2 ($15.79 each regularly, $9.47 each on sale): I picked up one of these when it was first released and really like it so used this as an opportunity to stock up while they still have the $3 off peelie coupons on the packaging.
>> Physicians Formula Glow Boosting Beauty Balm BB Bronzer in `Medium to Dark` ($15.79 regularly, $9.47 on sale): Heard about this one from ItsJudyTime on YouTube, and it looks like a nice bronzer as well as contour product. Plus, it apparently has BB cream benefits?
>> Milani MATTE Baked Blushes in `Delizioso Pink` and `Bella Rosa` ($8.99 each): These are brand new products that I heard about a couple weeks ago from one of the beauty blogs I read, and just so happened to find them at CVS. They are supposedly matte finishes, while all of the original line was very shimmery. They were also part of the permanent display so they are not limited edition. I could have waited for a sale, but I needed to reach a minimum purchase threshold so I picked them up.
Coupon breakdown (almost all of these coupons were actually dispensed by the red coupon machine in store, only one was a email coupon which I printed out earlier that day):
>> Total for all products PRE-SALE PRICE: $65.35
>> Total for all products with PF products on sale: $46.40
- $6 off $30 purchase = $40.40
- $5 off $15 PF purchase = $35.40
- $3 off peelie coupon from PF foundation = $32.40
- $3 off peelie coupon from PF foundation = $29.40
- $5 off CVS BeautyClub coupon (if you join their BeautyClub, you get $5 ECB for every $50 spent on beauty products and can use it like cash in store) = $24.40
- $5 off CVS BeautyClub coupon = $19.40
>> Grand total for purchase + tax = $22 and some change!
This effectively makes the cost of each item purchased ~$4!
By combining sales with coupons I was able to cut down my purchase total by more than half! It`s definitely a good idea to check what deals are happening at the drugstore and to sign up for any loyalty programs that offer rewards. If you have manufacturer`s coupons you can use those as well to drive the cost even lower!
Thanks for reading!
