While at the market this weekend, I wondered why some people were piling up on 6-packs of Snapple. Turns out, Snapple was on sale $4.99 a 6-pack, but had a $2.00 off coupon attached to it, so youd end up getting a 6-pack for $2.99. Not a bad deal! I originally picked up the Diet Raspberry but after heading down the drink aisle to get water, I noticed they had a new Diet Snapple Half n Half, which is half lemonade, half iced tea. Now this is one of my FAVORITE combinations when it comes to drinking cold tea. During the summer I used to get these like mad at Starbucks, paying nearly $4 for one. I used to drink the half n half from Arizona, but its so packed with sugar, I stopped drinking it 2 years ago. I had not had one since until this gem.
This tea is a perfect blend of the two worlds, sourly sweet lemonade with mildly bitter tea. The tea is a blend of the signature black tea, mixed with green tea. The three mixed together has a pleasant appeal on the palette. Incase you are wondering, there are only 10 calories in the bottle, with only 2% of juice in it. I will say this is definitely a drink you must have cold. It doesnt taste its greatest warm, the flavors are definitely enriched when served cold, or even over ice. You do get a subtle lemony sweetness from the lemonade, but since its diet, its not over the top. Considering this is one of my favorite combinations, this will be one of my staple items to pick up when Im looking for something different beverage wise.
