Today, I got a mango lassi from a soup and sandwich shop in my neighbourhood. The shop sells a lot of Indian-style drinks, and I love mango lassis, so I picked one up on my way home. If you haven`t heard of a mango lassi before, it`s a yogurt-based drink with mango and sugar in it. Sometimes there are spices in it as well, such as cardamom. I have even had some versions that had crushed pistachios on top of it - yum! This one, however, was plain. That`s not to say it wasn`t delicious! Imagine a mango smoothie with a really smooth consistency. It was definitely delicious and refreshing, and I know I`ll be ordering this drink again, especially during the hot summer months. It`s healthy, and a great way to cool down! :) I`ve tried making a version of this at home using only mango and Greek yogurt, and though it was good, it was way too thick.
