Eggtarts are an amazing dessert that is not too sweet, not too rich but incredibly satisfying. As far as I know, the kind here are predominantly asian and are widely available in asian bakeries. It`s a really great combination of flaky pastry dough that separates into a hundred layers. The egg custard filling on the other hand is incredibly smooth and creamy. The pastry dough is kind of savoury whereas the custard is subtle and sweet. I would say that balance is key to this dessert
