I popped into H-Mart right around lunch time and it happened to be the time where the store had employees out giving free samples of select items. I was stoked when there was a girl in the produce section, with trays of assorted fruit. Now I LOVE fruit, but I`m not always adventurous with items when I don`t know what they are. I`m so used to my staple, watermelon, apples, pears and bananas that I`m comfortable -- but it`s nice to have new fruits to shake it up.
This right here is a Korean Melon. I forgot to take a picture of it before I peeled it, but it`s a yellow squash looking melon. When you cut it, there are seeds inside that you scoop out, peel and enjoy. It`s really yummy. It taste similar to a cantaloupe, but not as sweet and the texture is a little more crisp than the super soft cantaloupe. I really enjoyed it and will be picking up another next time I head to H-Mart.
Have you ever tried Korean Melon before?
